Attorney Michelle Slanker joined Foye B. Walker, P.A. in 2021, as an associate specializing in criminal defense and personal injury. Michelle Slanker has decades of experience in criminal matters, handling juvenile, misdemeanor and felony caseloads while an Assistant State Attorney. She has handled high-profile cases as an Assistant State Attorney and as a criminal defense attorney.
Michelle Slanker graduated from Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi and received her Juris Doctor in 1999. Michelle Slanker served as an Assistant State Attorney from 1999-2021.
During that time, Michelle Slanker has covered Columbia, Suwannee, Madison, Hamilton, Lafayette and Dixie counties in the Third Judicial Circuit as well as counties in the First, Fifth and Seventh Circuits. Michelle Slanker has covered cases from juvenile delinquency, misdemeanors and felonies. During that time, Michelle Slanker was lead counsel many cases and has been lead counsel on many serious felony jury trials included but not limited to Armed Home Invasion, Armed Robberies, Burglaries, homicide, violations of probations as well as many other charges.
Michelle Slanker began in the legal field in high school, working for Terry McDavid still in high school, working as a paralegal and assisting with real estate closing document preparation and continued until moving to Jacksonville to finish her Bachelor of Science (Sociology/criminal justice). Michelle Slanker continued working in the legal profession in Jacksonville, working as a paralegal at Donald Weidner’s law office and in Jackson, Mississippi while in law school as a paralegal for F. Kirk Nelson.
